However, I have never found an approach that I could really say works.
Until three years ago, I found different methods that I combined and that changed my life. It was like a switch that was flipped. I started behaving differently and performing tasks that had never even crossed my mind before because of fear.

I used to be afraid of making phone calls, presenting myself in public, giving talks or getting in touch with people. Fear puts us into flight or attack mode or inhibits us. As a result, we can no longer think clearly in situations. Subconsciously, we avoid such situations, even though they are the key to our success.
Since reducing and overcoming my fears, I have started to work on tasks that have brought me much greater progress than before and I was able to present myself completely differently and act more calmly in such situations.
There are effective mental methods to uncover and reduce fear, and to feel strong and secure.

For a long time I have been looking for ways to stay calm and keep a clear mind in situations that stress me out. During presentations, performance tests, important conversations, I always had the problem that I was overthinking and too stressed, which meant I could no longer think clearly and say what I actually wanted to say.

As an open yet reserved and rather shy person, I was always aware that I needed to reach out to people to draw attention to myself and seize opportunities for my business. I did approach people to tell them about my idea—well, at least in most cases. Sometimes, I found excuses for why it wasn’t the right moment.
It wasn’t until I realized that I was failing at tasks where I had little self-confidence—simply because I avoided them whenever possible.
This burdened me repeatedly and took an enormous amount of effort to overcome, making it difficult for me to complete these tasks. At that time, I hadn’t progressed nearly as far as I could have.
Similarly, I often struggled in conversations with authoritative figures, in presentations, and in exams where I was too nervous to think clearly. On the outside, I appeared calm and professional, but inside, all my alarm bells were ringing. I knew how to present myself, but I couldn’t think clearly or stay calm at that moment.
It was really challenging to find a way to remain calm, composed, and level-headed in such situations, especially when I was afraid.
Other people simply approached others, shared their ideas and stories, secured collaborations or deals, all without expending much energy.
At some point, I reached the point where I had to admit to myself that this paralyzing fear, lack of self-confidence, and lack of composure were my biggest hurdles in advancing my self-employment and entrepreneurial journey.
So, I decided to search for methods and techniques to overcome fears, strengthen my self-confidence, and stay calm, think clearly, and have the courage to say what I needed to say, both preventively and in acute stressful situations.
No more excuses, self-doubt, or artificially constructed self-confidence. Finally feeling what it’s like to act and think with inner self-confidence, composure, and a clear mind.
I transformed myself into a completely new person with the help of affirmations, reprogramming beliefs, meditation and breathing exercises, and mental techniques.
I started to think differently, see new perspectives, and recognize new opportunities. Everything that had previously been a huge struggle for me felt suddenly effortless and natural. I began tackling the tasks that I had always unconsciously avoided and that still allow me to make the greatest progress today. And the best part is that I can do all this without fearing what others think of me, without it feeling exhausting, or having to pretend to be someone else.
